mistrial 02:17
callous to the needs i wonder crawling down the crease of innocence fallen to the knees of weapons tribal to the creed of your respect i know of a hill from a blank colored sill you noticed the flames rising from army games mistrial loosen up a stitch from gray lips grinning like a child sent to the hall animate his limbs with fervor feral disregard to penance copes i know of a hill from a blank colored sill you noticed the flames rising from army games

dome swan 04:54
well i seem to be twisting schemes and unearthing big dreams tell the folks that the fires close when the floor is glistening small and silent so ultraviolet and so uncalled for fall to the ground and make no sound cause they're all listening dome swan lick the petal we were never meant to settle guess its good you're goin on your way but i never should denounce you girl cause i saw you as a random pearl and my freedom i should never give with a house in which we didn't live moan a little and keep the brittle image from catching on slow but its true well the flu's not fixed but flames are leaping from the trees saw the room and i assume you're digging deeper finally strung by history and she's so perfect plastic shimmering dome swan lick the petal we were never meant to settle guess its good you're goin on your way but i never should denounce you girl cause i saw you as a random pearl and my freedom i should never give with a house in which we didn't live

squirtgun 01:54
if the summer came to early would you sit on your steps complaining i'm too pale and i'm scared of when i sunburn why don't you just let me back in you can laugh and play with the sprinkler and you tell me i'm too shy to use a squirt gun to paint initials on the lawn it is time to make a fool out of me and then i'll see in therapy how unkind how unkind a mirror image a broken promise a feeble jewelry to keep the other people off your trail
4.
little hands 02:32
little hand quiet band try to sleep couldn't keep the girl i'm supposed to love from listening shut a door stop it more drag it out start to shout why don't you settle down and kiss me i saw it coming on the first cold I can't keep running from the things you say on the darkest night you call why you trying to stall i know its my fault drag it out kill the doubt yet i still run around i think i'm trying to make you hate me when i'm late feeling great you're aflame its a shame that you were stubborn in your feelings i tried to warn you there was something wrong i made it clear in almost every song on the darkest night you call why you trying to stall i know its my fault

about

Dome Swan is Ian Hoffman's first record under his own name. This understated collection of four songs drops the followers of Hoffman's music into a chute of swirling organs, strings and percussion. Hoffman trades the fanfare and full band of his previous release "The Other" for a much more intimate treading among the brambles.

Known as the leader of Chicago bands Plaid Penmanship and Needers & Givers, (a band he formed with his 2 brothers) Ian has performed extensively in Chicago and throughout the United States. With songs featured on NPR's ‘All Songs’ Considered and popular television show "Gossip Girl" there is no question that Hoffman is a gifted singer and songwriter. Dome Swan is yet another a resounding confirmation of his
talent and dedication to the creation of song.
